Can't Stop, Won't Stop

Ever since I can remember, I've always had a deep appreciation for Hip-hop music. To some, the Hip-hop genre is something of a novelty. For me, it was the very first exposure to music that I can remember having. Through this fortunate mishap, Hip-hop has forever stuck with me.

I was an innocent 1st grader when 2Pac's All Eyez On Me came out. It was one of many Rap albums launched in the 90's that swept a nation of angsty white kids and party-hardy high schoolers...including my older sister and all her hoodlum friends. It was through that very influence however, I was introduced to the beloved music of the 90's (which, at the time, was known as Gangsta Rap).
Thus, my love of Hip-hop was born.

As of lately, I've been rediscovering a lot of Hip-hop/Rap albums that I haven't listened to in a while. It's always a treat when you can fall back in love with an "old" album you used to listen to. Because of this, I've decided to compile a list of just a few of my favorites. I doubt any of these will be news to all you Hip-hop heads and fans alike, but hey, it's never too late to appreciate.

  1. Crazy to think that THE CHRONIC was released, what, three weeks after MIDNIGHT MARAUDERS!?

  2. Haha I know, man! '93 was an INSANE year of sick Hip-hop albums. Wu-Tang, Snoop, Pac, Cypress Hill and a ton of others all released albums in 93. But then again, the 90's in general was a special time for Hip-hop.
